It was designed for CentrePort to improve their service to foot passengers in particular and to enable Strait Shipping Co to manage the mix of commercial and private travellers safely and efficiently day and night, and in all weather.
Wind on this exposed waterfront site is used in the building for natural ventilation and cooling. This automated temperature and air quality management is a significant cost saving and an example of sustainable design promoted by Aonui Architecture.
